Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
YT Shorts Uploader ("the app", "we") is a personal tool that lets a creator prepare their own short videos and publish them to their own connected social accounts (such as TikTok and YouTube). This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
1. Information we access
- Account authorization — when you connect a TikTok or YouTube account, the platform gives us an access/refresh token that lets the app post on your behalf. We store this token only to perform actions you request.
- Basic account info — your account's public identifier and, where applicable, the email you used to sign in, solely to show which account is connected.
- Videos you choose to upload — the video files you explicitly ask the app to publish, and metadata you provide (title, caption, hashtags, privacy setting).
2. How we use it
We use the above only to (a) authenticate you with the platform, and (b) upload the specific videos and metadata you choose to your own account. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not post anything without an explicit action from you.
- We do not access accounts other than the ones you connect.
4. Storage & retention
Access tokens are stored securely and used only to fulfil your requests. You can revoke access at any time from the app's "Disconnect" button or from the platform's own connected-apps settings, which invalidates the token.
5. Third-party platforms
Uploading through TikTok or YouTube is subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. Please review TikTok's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
